Wines for this evening:
Graziano Chenin Blanc 2007 - California
This is the first vintage of their Chenin Blanc, Mendocino produced under the Graziano label. The wine was made in a dry European style with crisp clean aromas and flavors of pears, apples and minerals. Its body is full and rich but well-balanced by good mouth-watering acidity.
April 2010 Wine Of The Month Selection
Wooloomooloo Chardonnay 2008 - Australia
Not just a silly name, this Chardonnay has just the right touch of oak and butter for a smooth, luscious sipper. Enjoy by the pool or with some grilled chicken or shrimp.
Ramon Roqueta Ull de Llebre Tempranillo 2007 - Spain
Soft and approachable Tempranillo from the historic, family-run Bodegas Roqueta in the Catalunyan Pyrenees. Selected grapes. Maceration 15 days and aging 3 months in oak barrels that confer complexity to the notes of wild fruits and liquorice typical of the variety
Pittsburgh Redd Up Red Cabernet NV - California
Complex yet well-balanced with layers of flavors of berries and cherries. Aged in oak barrels for 14 months. Well suited to complement roasted red pepper soup, rare steak salad with parmesan cheese crisps, roasted sliced duck breast and flourless chocolate cake.
