Palate Partners Explore Italian Summer Sipping Wines At A Wine Dinner On June 24th, 2009

On June 24, 2009, Italian wine lovers are invited to explore wines from many of the wine producing regions of Italy that make for perfect summer sipping at a 5-Course Wine Dinner presented by Enrico Biscotti and Dreadnought Wines at Enrico’s in the Strip District, beginning at 7:00 PM.

The Enrico Biscotti café, at 2022 Penn Avenue, is open 6 days a week from 6 am to 4 pm., serving torta Rustica (quiches), Pizzas made in their woodburning brick oven, beans and greens (vegetarian; kale, cannellini beans, garlic, olive oil, all steamed together), two different homemade soups, and big fat salads with field greens, blue cheese, cranberries, walnuts and roasted chicken from the oven.

They also of course, make their own desserts; Cannoli from Sicily, ricotta pies, chocolate macaroons, and so many other things.

The creative kitchen staff will be developing a special menu for this evening’s dinner.

Dreadnought is a Pittsburgh wine distributor, representing boutique wineries from around the world, including a variety of Italian wines.  Michael Gonze and Debra Mortillaro, co-owners of Dreadnought Wines and Palate Partners recently returned from a tour of the remarkable Italian Countryside and have plenty of experiences to share with patrons.
