We may substitute wines based on availablity. Our classes are for adults over the age of 21.

The Carrie Furnace Project Opening Reception

This project features the work of 4 artists that have gathered inspiration from the giant blast furnaces known as Carrie.  The work features images of the massive coke oven remains, sculpture made from the furnaces product, which was steel, and illuminated sculpture utilizing graffiti left on the remains. 

Opening Reception will be Thursday October 1st 2009 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the historic Pump-house & Water Tower Museum, which is part of the Rivers of Steel Heritage Area.   Museum / Gallery hours will also include noon to 3 p.m. on the following Friday and Saturday dates,  2ed & 3ed,  9th &10th, and the 16th & 17th of October.   Tours can also be scheduled through the Rivers of Steel (412) 464-4020, for other times and dates.   www.RiversofSteel.com

Specialty wines are being poured by  by Dreadnought Wines at the opening reception for your enjoyment.

The Pump-house is conveniently located with ample parking near the Homestead / Munhall Waterfront shopping center.
