This small-production wine is made from young vines growing on chalky and clayish soils on the hillside of the village of Villegouge on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region. It’s a very bright and lively wine with aromas of white flower, citrus, and lime. On the palate, the gravelly minerality sustains the fragrant kumquat, quince, and apricot fruit which persist on the medium, straight finish. Pairs well with seafood, and makes an especially compelling apéritif for those looking for a more sophisticated take on Sauvignon Blanc.
